ID, first Argentinean Company to implement Silverlight

Since February, our web site appeared in Microsoft Silverlight’s Showcase (http://silverlight.net/showcase). In this site companies from all around the world are shown within their applications developed with this technology. By April of 2008 212 applications from 40 countries were shown in the Showcase named above.

ID is still the only Argentinean Company included in the site, with an application fully developed in Silverlight.

New year´s party:

In order to close last year in an original and unusual way, ID Corporate Solutions invited its employees to celebrate New year´s Eve at River Plate Stadium, where Soda Stereo´ s last concert took place.

"Arroba de Oro" Contest

ID Corporate Solutions signed up for the "@ de oro" contest, in which Argentina´s best web sites were awarded.
The competition was organized by the Argentine newspaper Infobae, together with other companies such as Telefónica and NEC.

On 11/9 we were told that our web site was within the best in Argentina according to the criteria of the competition´ s jury and the public vote.

Considering that ID Corporate is a young company (we are only one year old), we are very proud to have ended the competition among the last ten finalists in the section "Institutional", in which we competed against big and old companies such as Quilmes. This motivates us to continue growing with the same strength we have had since we started.

For the Design and Development of the site we used Silverlight 1.1 Alpha Refresh (*) version, released exclusively for developers by Microsoft in September 2007. This is a Silverlight preliminary version, and according to Microsoft, our partner, the 1.1 release version will be available in 2008´s first semester.

Support to OPEN XML Standardization

ID Corporate Solutions strongly supports the ECMA International (http://www.ecma-international.org) approval of OPEN XML as a standard. We hope that the right decision will ratify OPEN XML as an ISO/IEC international that delivers technology users, developers, Governments and companies in general the benefits to count on OPEN XML as a standard to general networks.
We are convinced OPEN XML approval as an ISO will be a great step into inter operability, due to the fact that it is designed to multi-platform operation without supplier dependence.

OPEN XML allows Microsoft Office applications to directly access information stored in external systems, while third party applications can access information already stored in Office files, allowing more and more developers to create simpler and quicker documents from different sources.
